I’m glad when something on Flowshirt — Move Your Merch is useful enough that you want to share it.
This page explains what you may share, quote, reference, or reuse from Flowshirt and Public Nuisance Apparel, and what requires permission first.
The short version is simple: linking and reasonable quoting are welcome. Copying, republishing, or commercially using my work without permission isn’t.
Linking to Flowshirt
You’re welcome to link to Flowshirt posts, pages, guides, or resources from your own website, blog, newsletter, social media account, discussion forum, or other publication.
You don’t need to ask permission just to link to a public Flowshirt page.
When possible, please link directly to the original article so readers can view the full context and most current version.
Quoting Flowshirt
You may quote a short excerpt from a Flowshirt article for commentary, discussion, education, or reference, as long as you:
clearly identify Flowshirt as the source;
link back to the original page when the format allows it; and
don’t reproduce so much of the article that readers no longer need to visit the original.
Please don’t republish full articles or large portions of posts without written permission.
Republishing Articles
Flowshirt articles may not be copied and republished in full on another website, blog, newsletter, ebook, course, social account, marketplace listing, or other publication without prior written permission.
This applies even if Flowshirt is credited.
A credit line doesn’t turn a copied article into authorized use.
If you’d like permission to republish something, contact me and tell me what you’d like to use, where it will appear, and how it will be used.
Images and Graphics
Original images, graphics, logos, charts, illustrations, screenshots created for Flowshirt, and Public Nuisance Apparel artwork may not be copied, downloaded, altered, sold, printed, redistributed, or used commercially without permission unless a page specifically says otherwise.
Please don’t remove branding, crop out identifying marks, or present Flowshirt or Public Nuisance Apparel artwork as your own.
If you want to feature an image while discussing or linking to a Flowshirt article, contact me first if you’re unsure whether your intended use is appropriate.
Public Nuisance Apparel Designs
The designs created for Public Nuisance Apparel are intended for merchandise sold through my shop.
You may not copy, trace, recreate, imitate closely, extract, modify, redraw, resell, upload, print, or use those designs on your own products.
This includes artwork, slogans presented as part of a design, layouts, branding elements, and finished product graphics.
You’re welcome to learn from the general research and design process I discuss on Flowshirt.
You’re not welcome to duplicate the finished product.
Logos and Branding
The names Flowshirt and Public Nuisance Apparel, along with associated logos, graphics, taglines, and branding elements, may not be used in a way that suggests sponsorship, partnership, endorsement, or affiliation without permission.
Please don’t use the branding on your own merchandise, website, social profile, advertising, or promotional materials unless I’ve specifically authorized it.
AI Prompts Shared on Flowshirt
From time to time, I may share example AI prompts, prompt structures, workflows, or design-development techniques.
Unless otherwise stated, you may use those examples as inspiration for your own work.
I encourage you to adapt them to your own niche, buyer, style, and product instead of copying them word for word and trying to reproduce the exact same design.
If a prompt is specifically identified as proprietary, downloadable, licensed, or restricted, the terms provided with that prompt apply.
Research, Data, Tables, and Charts
You may reference facts, trends, conclusions, or research discussed on Flowshirt, but please link to the relevant article when you use my analysis or presentation of that information.
If a chart, table, graphic, or compilation was created specifically for Flowshirt, don’t copy and republish the entire item without permission.
You may summarize the findings in your own words and cite Flowshirt as the source.
When Flowshirt cites an outside source, you should consult and cite the original source yourself when appropriate rather than treating Flowshirt as the owner of third-party information.
Screenshots
Reasonable screenshots of Flowshirt may be used for commentary, reviews, tutorials, or discussion when they’re relevant to what you’re talking about.
Please don’t use screenshots to reproduce an entire article, bypass a paywall or restriction if one is ever introduced, or distribute original artwork in a form that allows it to be reused as merchandise.
Social Media Sharing
You’re welcome to share links to Flowshirt posts on social media.
Using the platform-generated preview image, title, and description that appear automatically when a link is shared is fine.
Please don’t download my images and repost them as standalone content without attribution or permission.
Educational Use
Teachers, instructors, students, and workshop leaders are welcome to link to Flowshirt as a resource.
Short excerpts may be used in presentations or coursework with attribution.
If you’d like to reproduce an entire article, graphic, worksheet, or substantial portion of Flowshirt material for a class, course, paid workshop, or training program, please request permission first.
Commercial Use
Flowshirt content and Public Nuisance Apparel designs may not be used commercially without written permission.
That includes using my content or artwork in:
merchandise;
paid courses;
ebooks;
templates;
downloadable products;
advertising;
client work;
commercial presentations; or
products or services you sell.
If you’re interested in licensing or another commercial arrangement, feel free to ask.
AI Training, Scraping, and Automated Collection
You may not intentionally scrape, harvest, bulk-download, reproduce, or compile Flowshirt content or Public Nuisance Apparel artwork for commercial databases, content farms, automated publishing systems, or similar uses without permission.
You may not knowingly use original Public Nuisance Apparel artwork or substantial collections of Flowshirt content to train, fine-tune, or build a competing commercial AI model or dataset without written authorization.
